Fiber is known to help in the prevention of cancers, heart disease, and even diabetes. It can also help in weight regulation, and reduce cholesterol and constipation. Some types of dietary fiber even nourish the good bacteria in your gastrointestinal tract thus promoting gastrointestinal health. So, fiber is an important part of a healthy diet.
